Most peoples first port of call will be Uber which operate in Hurghada and provide a cheap reliable service with the added bonus of knowing how much your trip will cost before you get in the Taxi so no surprises. The app is the same as you probably use at home and they know where Aqua Tropical/Palms are located.

There are many local Taxis that operate in Hurghada from private taxi drivers through to Taxi/Limousine companies and then you have the official orange & blue taxis.

Whichever you use make sure you agree a price before you get in the cab to avoid a nasty shock at the end of your journey.

Bus

There are several types of bus you can use in Hurghada from the small local micro-buses and Go Bus which are ideal to take you into the city of to El Gouna but when you want to go further afield you have the Go Bus which is very similar to National Express in the UK.

The small buses will take you into Hurghada or to El Gouna for around 25p, these are the buses the locals use and they can be busy and cramped but if you want to get around on a budget they are ideal and much cheaper than a taxi.

When you want to go further afield the Go Bus is the way to go, very comfortable and excellent value for money these will take you to places such as Cairo and Luxor at very minimal cost and if you book the Elite class it is like an aeroplane on wheels with very comfortable seats and seat back entertainment with movies and games, many in English.

Air

Hurghada airport is just a 15 minute taxi ride from the Aqua resorts and from here you can fly on domestic flights to Cairo.

This is probably the quickest and easiest to get to Cairo to avoid a long bus journey. Prices vary but it is cheap at any time of the year.
