Places To Eat

There are of course a vast number of restaurants and bars in the Hurghada area ranging from small local street food vendors to International chain restaurants and everything inbetween.

Below is a very small selection of different types of places to suit all budgets. Most are within either a short walk or 10 minute taxi ride from Aqua Tropical and Aqua Palms.

In the Aqua Tropical and Aqua Palms complex itself there is a bar/restaurant serving food and drink all day from early morning until late at night.

A 5 minute walk away there are The Nubia, Selena Bay and Arena complexes which have a large number of restaurants and bars serving a wide range of food ranging from snacks to full 3 courses with both local and international tastes catered for. These are all in the Nubia complex.

There are also a wide range of bars in the Nubia complex including a very nice beach bar.

The Arena complex is very similar and also has a large range of bars and restaurants and like the Nubia is a 5 minute walk away along a paved road.

Slightly further away we have the local area of Fayrous where you will find a vast range of places to eat and drink including a lot of very cheap local restaurants selling very good quality food at bargain basement prices. Fayrous is less than 10 mins away in a taxi which will cost you around £1.50.

These include:

The Grill House –  Grilled meats and chicken as well as excellent burgers and sides.

Mr Fish – Fish and Chips and seafood all cooked fresh in an air-conditioned restaurant.

Miami Pub – European style pub/bar serving food and drink all day.

Bestway Supermarket has a small cafe where you can buy Coffee and Snacks and pick up a bit of shopping at the same time.

Approx 10 mins away by taxi which will cost you around £2.50 you have the stunning El Gouna the playground of the rich and famous and home of the

Abu Tig marina surrounded by amazing restaurants and bars.

These are expensive in comparison to the rest of Egypt but in real terms they cost around the same as the UK for some amazing food.

Some of the most well known restaurants include

Breeze – Fusion food of international standard with service second to none.

The Snack Shack – Good value and very tasty food Menu in El Gouna Old Town.

A little bit further approx 15 mins in a taxi you have Hurghada City and Marina where you will find 100’s of bars and restaurants along Sheraton Road and in the marina. A taxi will cost you around £3 from the apartments and food in most places is a lot cheaper than the UK.

In the marina you have a long strip of restaurants and bars serving a wide range of cuisines to suit all tastes and all pockets.

Olies – Large menu of international dishes and seafoods all with very generous portions and excellent service. One of my favourites and well worth a visit.

The Moon – Excellent Middle eastern and Egyptian cuisine.

Waves – Italian and Steaks along with a good selection of seafood dishes.

Luca’s Pub – British pub serving food and drink all day and also does Sunday Lunch.

Red Dragon – Asian cuisine from India China and Japan.

In the city itself you have all of the International fast food brands such as McDonalds, Pizza Hut and KFC.

And for the days and nights when you just don’t want to go out you have a well stocked shop on site where you will find something to suit all tastes including a good selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and baked goods.

When you don’t want to cook you can download the Talabat app to your phone which is just like Just Eat and Uber Eats and have fresh food delivered directly to your door from a wide choice of local restaurants.
